Interlibrary Loan                                               Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that provides current Florida Christian College students, faculty, and staff with materials that are needed for reserarch, but are not currently available in our library. Individuals not affiliated with FCC wishing to place requests should contact their local public library. Students not living near campus will be eligible for interlibrary loan service but may find they receive their materials more quickly through their local public library.

We accept requests through the FirstSearch system.  When you identify the item you want to request, select the icon for ILL at the top of the page  Interlibrary Loan and submit the requested information.  Library staff will order your item for you and notify you when it is available.

If you need assistance in learning how to use FirstSearch, or for the status of a loan, please contact a librarian for assistance in person, or through the website.

Please note that some libraries charge fees for loans. The usual range, when fees are charged, is $5-$20, although they may be higher in some instances. We do try to obtain materials at no charge and will notify you in advance if there will be charges.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research," If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
