A native of Muncie, Indiana, Bow was a three sport athlete at Delta High School. During his time there, he earned All-State honors in tennis, accumulated multiple individual championships in track, and was also a standout player on the basketball team. During his senior year of basketball, Bow shot an impressive 48% from three-point territory, was named to multiple all-area teams, and helped lead his team to a prestigious Indiana sectional championship. Soon after, Bow signed a letter of intent to continue his playing career for the Goshen College Maple Leafs in Goshen, Indiana. While at Goshen, Bow was a two year team captain and was twice named an NAIA Academic All-American. Most recently, Bow was an Assistant Coach for the Leafs, a team that finished the season with 18 wins, the #2 strength of schedule in the country, a #11 final RPI ranking, and a First-Team All-American and pro-prospect in senior guard Errick McCollum II. He also served in multiple leadership roles on campus during his four years at Goshen, including two years as a Resident Assistant, two years on the Spiritual Life Advisory Committee, two years leading “Midweek Faith” and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes campus wide on Wednesday nights, one year as the Campus Ministries Intern, and one year as the Assistant Resident Director. He graduated with a degree in Physical Education, K-12, and minored in Psychology. Beyond his leadership experience and activities at Goshen, Bow had the opportunity to learn firsthand about what a top-notch NAIA athletics program looks like. The Leafs field over 14 intercollegiate teams each year (seven for both men and women) and have accumulated a substantial amount of awards and recognition over the last five years, including multiple NAIA National Champions, several First-Team All-Americans, dozens of NAIA All-American Scholar Athletes, and numerous conference accolades and awards in the ultra-competitive Mid-Central Conference where they go head to head with some of the top small Christian colleges in the country. The past four summers, Bow has been on the summer basketball staff at Duke University, Notre Dame University, and Purdue University where he has been able to network with some of the finest minds in the game and teach basketball to kids from all over the country. He has also served with “Hoops on the Rez”, a basketball camp on the Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona, the last two summers. “I feel truly blessed and fortunate to have an opportunity to give leadership to the Athletics Program at FCC. The chance to be actively involved in ministry and discipleship on campus, while also having the chance to help shape the future of the athletics program makes this a truly thrilling situation for me. I look forward to serving the coaches and campus as a whole to help FCC reach the goals and fulfill the vision the Lord has placed in each of our hearts for the future of the institution.” If you would like to discuss how you would fit into one of the athletic programs at FCC please feel free to . |
